About the position

Unify America is looking for a savvy, get-things-done Marketing Manager to help grow our Civic Gym program in the higher education space. This role is perfect for someone who loves turning strategy into execution: building smart campaigns, coordinating across teams, and delivering clean, persuasive content that moves the needle. As our presence in higher education expands, we are seeking a Marketing Manager who can effectively translate our strategic vision into clear, actionable communications. This role involves developing high-quality materials that support program adoption and make Civic Gym offerings visible and compelling. It is a hands-on position focused on execution, ideal for a sharp operator who can manage details while maintaining a clear view of the big picture. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Partnerships and Engagement teams to create and evolve outreach content, help articulate our value to higher education stakeholders, and enable broader adoption of our programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage marketing efforts that reach higher education leaders, faculty, staff, and students across email, web, and other channels
  • Build and maintain core marketing assets, including one-pagers, slide decks, posters, and case studies, and coordinate with designers and developers to produce landing pages and other digital materials.
  • Monitor performance and improve efforts using analytics, audience segmentation, and direct feedback from educators
  • Own timelines and follow-through to ensure marketing tasks, launches, and communications happen on time and with clarity.
  • Help sustain engagement by coordinating timely updates, reminders, and materials tied to the academic calendar.
  • Keep systems organized and running, manage shared files, document processes, support smooth handoffs between teams, and use HubSpot to run and analyze campaigns

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital campaigns
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive – you take pride in being the person who makes things happen
  • Outstanding writing, proofreading, and content formatting skills
  • Confidence with tools like Google Workspace, Canva, Slack, and email platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative, feedback-rich culture

Nice-to-haves

  • Ideally, experience in higher education, civic engagement, or subscription-based program models

Benefits

  • Excellent 401k Matching
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Self-managed 'unlimited' PTO policy
  • Health and wellness reimbursement
  • Internet and phone reimbursement
  • A strong and supportive work culture made up of high performers
