About the position

The Medical Director position at Theoria Medical is a part-time role focused on providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care services in skilled nursing facilities. The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling, with no overnight duties or weekend on-call requirements, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. The physician will collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage resident care, ensuring comprehensive treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. Responsibilities

• Serve as the attending physician for residents at skilled nursing facilities.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for day-to-day resident care.
• Provide comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients.
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Complete provider documentation in Theoria's electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasy™.
• Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, and other medical quality initiatives.
• Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Utilize electronic medical tools and state/county medical systems for administrative functions.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid medical license.
• Experience in primary care or post-acute care settings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Theoria's proprietary EHR system, ChartEasy™.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and American HealthTech EHR systems.
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
