About the position

The Merchandising Internship at Duluth Trading Company is a 10-week program designed for college students to gain hands-on experience in the apparel industry. Interns will work on real-life tasks and projects, learning about product merchandising fundamentals while contributing to the company's omnichannel retail environment. The internship runs from June 2nd to August 8th and is based at the corporate headquarters in Mount Horeb, WI.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal product strategies that meet financial targets.
• Maintain the integrity of spreadsheets and assortment tools.
• Participate in omnichannel execution planning.
• Respond to customer insights with meaningful assortment planning.
• Proofread promotional content including catalog production and email marketing.
• Analyze business performance and report key information to management.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.

Requirements

• Passion for the apparel industry and eagerness to learn about Product Merchandising.
• Familiarity with the omnichannel business model.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically.
