About the position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is a remote contract role focused on conducting virtual Baseline Visits for the Curative Health Plan. The NP will engage with new members to promote health through wellness, risk assessment, and prevention, ensuring a thorough medical history is documented and providing tailored care plans that include education on vaccines, screenings, and lifestyle choices.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately document a thorough medical history in the electronic medical record.
• Provide education on preventative screenings and immunizations.
• Provide education on nutrition, physical activity, and other lifestyle habits.
• Order and interpret labs that are offered as part of the baseline visit.
• Consult with the supervising physician regarding complex patients with urgent needs.

Requirements

• Current active and unencumbered license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a HIPAA compliant workspace.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years hands-on experience in a Family or Internal Medicine setting.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
