About the position

The Palletizer position at Crown involves operating automated machines for the production of aluminum cans. The role is crucial for maintaining production flow, performing quality checks, and ensuring the equipment operates efficiently. The position requires adherence to safety and operational procedures while working effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more automated machines for aluminum can production.
• Ensure production lines are flowing and notify supervisors of mechanical failures.
• Conduct accurate and continuous quality checks and maintain recordkeeping.
• Perform visual checks of finished goods.
• Follow verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
• Keep Production Supervisors informed of equipment and production status.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work effectively in a team environment.
• Operate the console for automatic palletizing equipment to stack cans on pallets.
• Read production schedules and stacking patterns for can arrangement.
• Observe cans on the conveyor to identify defects.
• Control stacking arrangement of cans using the palletizer's selector switch.
• Document quality check results and observe pallets for defects or debris.
• Stop equipment to clear jams and maintain production flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of production equipment and mechanical operations in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably high-speed manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
