About the position

The Partner Development Manager for Terminal at Stripe is responsible for building and managing high-impact partnerships to launch and scale Stripe's in-person payments and commerce products globally. This role requires a strategic and entrepreneurial business development leader who can negotiate partnership agreements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and innovation in the Terminal ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and lead new partnerships that empower users to build point-of-sale experiences.
  • Structure and negotiate first-of-kind deals for go-to-market or product enablement partnerships with large B2B technology companies.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Technical Project Managers, Legal, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to execute the Terminal strategy.
  • Understand partners' key priorities and challenges, and communicate insights to the Terminal team.
  • Develop strategic perspectives based on market and partner insights to contribute to product strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or corporate development, particularly with technology or fintech companies.
  • Technical acumen to understand Stripe's product portfolio and strategy.
  • Strong agency to handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience with in-person payment devices/hardware, Payment Gateways or POS platforms.
  • Domain expertise in Payments, Enterprise, Commerce and/or Hardware.
  • A track record of developing high-impact partnerships with significant dependencies.
