About the position

Are you an experienced and passionate pharmacist? We are excited to invite you to join our wonderful healthcare team at Tohatchi Health Center in Tohatchi, NM! In this important role, you'll help ensure our patients use medications safely and effectively, making a real difference in their lives. This is a Long Term Contract Role, up to 6 months with extension possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure our patients get the right medication therapy.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients.
• Conduct patient assessments to ensure medications are safe and effective.
• Help manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring everything is stored and handled properly.
• Offer consultations on pain management and other medication-related concerns.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and pharmacy software systems.
• Use aseptic techniques when preparing sterile medications.
• Collaborate with our compassionate healthcare teams in hospital settings, including pediatrics, to provide the best patient care possible.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school.
• State licensed in pharmacy within the United States (this is a must!).
• Previous contract experience a plus.
• Previous IHS facility experience helpful.
• 2+ years experience required.
• Hospital or Health Center pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen living primarily in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hospital setting, especially with pediatrics.
• Familiarity with inventory management to ensure we always have what we need.
