About the position

The Sports Rehab Physical Therapist will provide outpatient services focused on enhancing functional skills, restoring function, and preventing disability in pediatric patients. This role involves evaluating and treating children and adolescents with orthopedic injuries and sports medicine-related issues, as well as educating patients and caregivers. The therapist will also participate in school-based sports medicine physicals and injury prevention education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient physical therapy services to pediatric patients.
  • Evaluate and treat children/adolescents with orthopedic injuries and sports medicine issues.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and functional skills.
  • Consult with other professionals, clinics, and agencies regarding patient care.
  • Participate in school-based sports medicine physicals and injury prevention education.
  • Document and correspond regarding patient services in accordance with department policies.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • State license for physical therapy or eligibility for licensure.
  • CPR - BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience and/or certification in pediatrics, sports medicine, or athletic training preferred.
  • Flexible hours/shifts to accommodate before and after school hours.
