About the position

Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Surgery department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. This full-time outpatient position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no call, weekends, or OR coverage, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of vascular surgeons and other advanced practitioners to provide high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Support the Vascular Surgery department in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Collaborate with a team of 7 vascular surgeons and 7 PA/NPs.
• Provide patient care and follow-up in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care strategies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program or an approved program for Nurse Practitioners.
• Eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or eligible for national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
