About the position

The Porter position at Atria Senior Living involves providing essential cleaning and maintenance services to ensure a safe, neat, and attractive environment for residents and guests. This role is crucial in maintaining the community's overall appearance and functionality, contributing to the well-being of residents and the satisfaction of visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services for business offices, apartments, and common areas.
• Perform floor care services including vacuuming, extracting, buffing, sealing, and stripping floors.
• Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas.
• Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways, and garden areas.
• Perform basic maintenance related work requests.
• Mow lawns, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers as needed.
• Notify management concerning the need for repairs.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work performed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10's and 100's.
• Able to perform operations using units of United States currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Able to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Able to safely use basic maintenance and landscape-related hand tools and light power tools.
