About the position

The Night Crew Clerk at Price Rite is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service while efficiently unloading, processing, and stocking products across various departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, HABA, and Meat. The role requires adherence to safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized work environment, and performing various tasks as needed within company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure department sanitation and quality assurance standards are met.
• Follow procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, and price marking products.
• Unload and secure received products in appropriate storage areas using equipment as needed.
• Block and face all products according to company policy or as assigned.
• Comply with store rules, company policies, safety requirements, and health regulations.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to company policy.
• Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance and report failures.
• Complete all applicable department training programs.

Requirements

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work with a variety of products and tolerate moderate amounts of dust and chemical agents.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures from very cold to hot.
