About the position

Benshaw is seeking a Product Data Management Administrator to join our Engineering team. This role is essential in leading the successful implementation of Autodesk Vault and ensuring its long-term stability and integration across our engineering systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD data management, with hands-on experience in Autodesk Vault, Inventor, and AutoCAD Electrical. This individual will also support CAD standards, maintain part libraries, and enable engineering efficiency through structured data and system governance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the deployment, configuration, and administration of Autodesk Vault Professional, including integration with Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Design, manage, and maintain CAD part libraries (symbols, footprints, circuit catalogs) within Vault.
  • Oversee Vault user access, permissions, lifecycle states, revision control, and overall system health.
  • Maintain and enforce engineering CAD standards; conduct print reviews and support regular software upgrades.
  • Develop training materials and user guides; provide onboarding and ongoing training for engineering team members.
  • Work closely with Engineering, IT, Quality, and Production teams to align digital workflows and system usage.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, monitor performance, and propose improvements to ensure reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CAD Technology, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience working with Autodesk Vault, Inventor, and AutoCAD Electrical in an engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing Autodesk Vault Professional.
  • Strong understanding of CAD data structures, BOM mapping, revision control, and part lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, Vault APIs, and scripting tools for automation and system customization.
  • AutoCAD Electrical proficiency: symbol/footprint creation, standards enforcement.
  • Inventor proficiency: BOM and electromechanical data flow integration.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, document, and support cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Autodesk Certifications in Vault, Inventor, or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience with ERP integration and manufacturing systems is a plus.
