About the position
Spectrum's Product and Technology team creates, develops, and operates the nation's fastest mobile service, most reliable Internet service, most viewed live TV app, and the most advanced WiFi, serving millions of users and devices. We are transforming the next era of connectivity and entertainment experiences. Our goal in the Software Development Information Technology organization is to help Spectrum succeed by securely and rapidly delivering the best and most efficient technology in support of our business. We do this through a mix of delivery teams, operations functions, and corporate shared services like Architecture, End-to-End Test and Security. The Product Designer - UI/UX for Video Applications will partner with product and engineering teams to design experiments, new features and improvements for Spectrum video applications across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, etc. Create UI/UX deliverables and provide guidance/support throughout the client development process.
Responsibilities
- Work within cross-functional team to understand expectations, priorities and necessary deliverables.
- Bring proven knowledge of user-centered design process methods to digital applications from concept to launch.
- Integrate UX best practices into solution development.
- Design mockups to support product requirements.
- Build prototypes for user testing and developer handoff.
- Organize files and follow all established design patterns.
- Partner with the wider design team to drive cross-platform consistency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UI, UX and/or product design experience.
- Proficiency in design, prototyping and handoff tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, etc.)
- Experience building and/or using symbol/component libraries.
- Experience with mobile, web and 10ft. video products a big plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with basic prototyping and interface design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Axure, etc.) - 1+ years
- Experience with project estimation
- Experience with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests
