About the position

Seeking a proactive and resourceful Product Manager, Deposits & Liquidity to support the development of new deposit products, infuse client experience into training materials, engage in market analysis, and maintain product reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented critical thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for empowering sales teams and enhancing product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of new deposit products by supporting the project team as required.
  • Gather market research, customer insights, and analyze competitor offerings.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve product features and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in product development and sales teams, to ensure new products are seamlessly integrated into training programs.
  • Review training and sales enablement materials to ensure sales teams are empowered with a deep understanding of deposit and treasury management solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content aligns with product features and strategic goals.
  • Gather and incorporate sales team feedback to continuously refine training materials and improve knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards to track product metrics, sales effectiveness, and training impact.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in deposit products and training programs.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting actionable insights and key findings.
  • Research, define, align, develop, and implement sales and marketing strategies with P&L accountability.
  • Carry out market research, forecasting, pricing, and competitive analysis.
  • Monitor product and system performance, and assess problems to develop and implement solutions.
  • Manage product risks in compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk compliance, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across the enterprise to take products to market.
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze customer/consumer insights and channel data to identify strengths and gaps.
  • Complete internal and regulatory reporting, and attestations.
  • Identify existing and potential risks and develop risk management controls and processes.
  • Develop and maintain product directives and policies.
  • Support development of key metrics and identification of trends.
  • Gather customer and sales feedback and analyze issues.
  • Participate in and evaluate market research and competitive analysis associated with assigned products.
  • Act as the day to day contact for vendors.
  • Resolve internal, first level customer escalations.
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business processes.
  • Run analyses and reports that support risk management and policy development.
  • Define and implement business cases and strategic roadmaps for banking products and services.
  • Design, implement, manage, and enhance a single product or suite of products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key metrics and action plans to optimize financial performance.
  • Continuously improve processes to identify issues and deliver optimal customer experience.
  • Work with partners to develop salesforce training and materials.
  • May support the sales team in development of client deals and related presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Create the marketing strategy, including offers and campaigns.
  • Develop, implement, and manage product documentation, templates, and requirements.
  • Influence and/or determine credit product risk parameters and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in product analysis, training development, or banking.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to think critically and solve problems resourcefully.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Knowledge of treasury management and deposit products.
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience with consumer / commercial credit applicable to retail and business financing products.
  • Strong experience working with retail and business product fundamentals, including product design, functionality, and related policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of product delivery infrastructure systems and underlying product interdependencies.
  • In-depth retail and business banking environmental awareness / understanding.
  • In-depth risk management associated with new and existing product development and management.
  • Strong knowledge of process coordination and management.
  • Strong knowledge of banking product management and associated industry and regulatory requirements.
