The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Product Security Test Engineer to join our cyber test capability team in Seattle, WA. In addition to specific program responsibilities, the successful candidate will be joining the growing BT&E Product Security Engineering Capability. They will be joining a team of advanced Product Security Engineers from across the Boeing Enterprise, collaboratively developing best practices, techniques and tools, while fostering a community that enhances our ability to deliver exceptional value to our customers. BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Product Security Test Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and development of cyber test events for avionics systems
  • Leverage software and/or systems engineering experience to build new testing tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives and requirements
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements and risk mitigation

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 1+ years of experience performing penetration testing or building product security test environments and custom cyber test tools

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience within the aerospace or avionics industry
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in systems test
  • Experience with flight deck avionics and/or aircraft communication/navigation systems
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies
