Job type Full-time Shift and schedule Every other weekend Overtime Rotating weekends Location 580 E Front St, Winona, MN 55987 Full job description Summary: The 3rd Shift Production Lead for our ESP/Sheet Facility (Engineered Sheet Products) takes direction from the Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager. The Production Lead is accountable for providing day-to-day technical direction of an assigned production team. Location : 1101 E 6th Street and/or 4410 Theurer Blvd. Work Schedule : 3rd Shift. Hours are 10:45pm to 7am with a Sunday night start. Leads are assigned to a rotating weekend scheduled that may involve Saturday and or Sunday work as needed. Training required on 1st shift. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Production Manager, leads production staff in daily activities Administers training for new employees as well as long term employees on the production team Provides feedback to the Production Manager to assist in performance evaluations of staff Projects raw and finished material needs for given time periods Works to minimize product loss and production-related waste Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc. Assists in the maintenance of equipment by effectively communicating issues or any potential problems Communicates with Warehouse support groups to maintain appropriate production schedules Ensures plant is maintained and in accordance with housekeeping policies and guidelines Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment Must be able to operate/monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production Must be capable of multi-tasking and working both as a team and independently Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail Must have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy and tact with people in various positions and levels within the company Must have strong interpersonal, training, and coaching skills Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Must maintain a clean and safe workspace Must be dependable and have excellent attendance Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekend Must be able to pass a forklift test and a respirator fit test Must be able to read, write, and speak English Education and Experience Required previous manufacturing experience related to RTP production operations Preferred previous supervisor experience Preferred high school diploma or equivalent Preferred forklift experience Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls Talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) Exposure to moving mechanical parts Frequently Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles Occasionally Sit Handle (with mechanical equipment) up to 250 pounds.
