About the position

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of production employees in the manufacturing and assembly of truck bed covers. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency in production processes. The Production Lead will collaborate with various departments, implement work instructions, and serve as a mentor to team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain quality standards.
• Partner with leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
• Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities.
• Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in collaboration with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping.
• Communicate maintenance issues and manage consumable repairs and replacements.
• Serve as a positive leader and mentor, instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
• Act as the primary support resource for employees, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
• Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required.
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.
