About the position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production of solar panels at Lubin Talent Solutions. This role involves managing staff and scheduling to meet production metrics while ensuring high-quality standards in collaboration with Maintenance & Reliability and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all production processes and teams within Washington operations
  • Oversee and manage all production supervisors
  • Plan and execute the production schedule
  • Set, plan and meet all production targets and goals
  • Review and adjust production schedule as needed
  • Ensure the timely completion of all direct-report employee reviews
  • Coach and guide all production team members to improve overall competency
  • Manage human and material resources needed to meet production targets
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Set and monitor product quality standards
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Estimate production costs
  • Set and manage production budgets, implementing cost control and cost-saving programs
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between departments
  • Monitor KPI's looking at OEE and labour hours per watt/panel
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of production experience
  • Minimum 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Deep knowledge of production management
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ADP software
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years' experience as a production manager in a manufacturing plant
  • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation
