About the position

The Programmer Analyst role at Robert Half involves enhancing and maintaining system functionality, focusing on interface and advanced system capabilities. This long-term contract position requires collaboration with the Information Systems team and vendors to implement system changes, develop application interfaces, and provide ongoing support for system operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex system functionality and recommend improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Develop and modify application interfaces to improve business operations.
• Ensure interface stability and availability by following operational processes.
• Provide on-call support for interfaces, ensuring round-the-clock system support.
• Collaborate with the Information Systems team to implement system changes in a coordinated manner, following the defined change management process.
• Work closely with vendors for the installation of new applications, updates, and upgrades.
• Design, write, test, and implement applications for data interface between third-party vendors.
• Coordinate the design, development, evaluations, implementation, and monitoring of interface requirements and technology to support business operations.
• Ensure the quality and security of information transmitted through the interface.
• Read, interpret, and debug different programming languages and scripts.
• Monitor live interfaces on the Interface Engines and manage interface error logs and queues.

Requirements

• Proficient in HL7 - Health Level 7
• Demonstrated expertise in XML
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL
• Proficiency in T-SQL - Transact-SQL
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
