About the position

The Project Manager will lead enterprise-wide finance projects and programs within the Finance Project Management Office, focusing on consulting and process improvements across various financial functions. This role requires strong project management skills, particularly in AI initiatives, to influence stakeholders and ensure project success while fostering a high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-functional project teams related to finance and operations business systems and initiatives.
  • Determine project cost, resource requirements, and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment, communication, and updates.
  • Develop metrics for process improvements, business readiness, technology readiness, and user adoption in collaboration with key SMEs.
  • Identify root cause(s) of problems and develop 'get well' plans.
  • Develop and deliver clear and concise presentations to executives that include analysis, metrics, project improvements, and controls.
  • Research and analyze best practices for continuous improvements.
  • Work with change management leads to increase user adoption.
  • Perform cost and benefit analyses to help prioritize projects accordingly.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years' experience leading enterprise-wide finance projects/programs.
  • Expertise in leading AI initiatives for business transformation, preferably in finance.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management best practices, including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong record of managing competing priorities with attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, candor, and a willingness to speak up even when speaking up makes the room uncomfortable.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas and issues in a simple, narrative arc.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and leading others through ambiguity.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence leaders; skilled in asking the right question(s).
  • Skilled at reading and responding to group dynamics and adjusting style accordingly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Group facilitation
  • Smartsheet experience preferred (Smartsheet is our project management tool)
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in business or related fields
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
