About the position

The Part Time Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) role involves providing hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist with personal hygiene, social engagement, and daily living activities, ensuring that individuals can participate in community activities and develop independent living skills. This position requires working every other weekend, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 10 pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support social engagement and community participation.
• Help cultivate and expand independent living skills.
• Assist in the development of meaningful personal relationships.
• Implement strategies to achieve individuals' personal goals.
• Perform lift and transfer tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a current full driver's license for at least 2 years.
• Driving record must have no more than three points in the last two years.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in direct support or caregiving roles.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
