About the position

Come join our SUPPLY CHAIN TEAM in Petaluma! RUSTIC BAKERY has been making and serving organic handmade baked goods since 2005. We operate four popular cafes in Marin and have a wholesale production division making flatbread crackers, cookies and crisps in Petaluma with products sold nationally by fine retailers throughout the US. We strive for locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality when making our products and the same goes for our people. We're looking for individuals with a love of artisan products, who want to bring their very best and be part of a fresh baked, locally sourced, fast rising company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, maintenance parts and other categories as assigned.
  • Contact vendors and suppliers as needed to get information necessary to support buying activities.
  • Manage and process requisitions from other functional groups.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager to monitor pricing, prepare analyses and reports on KPI’s, and other analytics related to purchasing as identified.
  • Work closely with the Demand Planner/Production Scheduler to ensure that materials are ordered to support the production schedule.
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service at all support levels.
  • Manage the cost, quality, and delivery of material purchased.
  • Monitor and communicate order status for categories assigned. Follow-up, track and expedite deliveries as needed.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain team to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and 5 years of related experience OR Associate degree plus 3 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years related experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with advanced database programs and ERP’s a must. Experience with NetSuite a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluent in English a must; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and attention to details.
  • Strong problem solver who identifies improvement opportunities and implements sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
