About the position

The Quality Specialist - Process Focus at ABB is responsible for supporting the deployment of the quality strategy within a local organizational unit. This role emphasizes the importance of quality culture, systems, and tools to meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. The specialist will collaborate with various local functions to achieve quality targets and implement continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Support specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility.
• Assist in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization.
• Use quality data analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.
• Facilitate resolution of customer cases through robust root cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment.
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with transformers, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Static Transfer Switches (STSs), and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
• Proficient in testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating electrical distribution and control systems.
• Proficient in quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis.
• Highly skilled in the use of critical electrical test equipment, including power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
• Familiar with key industry standards such as UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2.
