About the position

The Quality Technician role at Tech USA involves performing inspections of components and products to ensure quality standards are met. The technician will work closely with management and quality assurance teams to address quality issues, maintain accurate records, and improve inspection methods. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies, and products using proper inspection equipment.
  • Provide input for inspection methods and improvements.
  • Assist quality and management in investigations of process-related quality issues.
  • Write Non-Conforming Materials Reports and manage the process of quarantining rejected products.
  • Provide samples and communicate quality issues to QA and management as needed.
  • Use statistical analysis to determine correct sampling plans and frequencies for valid inspections.
  • Complete accurate records in both paper and electronic formats, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
  • Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase quality work in the lab.
  • Develop or improve standard work to support inspections and reporting results.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance and demonstrate good time management and decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a QA Inspector.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 or similar Quality System.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and rounding decimal numbers.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to use shop math to calculate part measurements and work from drawings and catalogs.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and thread gauges.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
