Microsoft Quantum has assembled a talented and diverse international team to create the world’s first scalable quantum computing system. Our full-stack approach involves exciting innovation from the physics at the quantum plane to providing global quantum services. The Microsoft Quantum program strives to fundamentally change the world of computing to help solve humankind’s currently unsolvable problems. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and integrate system software responsible for the initialization and running of quantum components in real time.
  • Develop and implement novel algorithms to solve a variety of computationally hard problems.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and hardware designers on current and future designs.
  • Work across the breadth of software, firmware, and hardware subsystems.

Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering, particularly in system software development.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts and algorithms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hardware integration and firmware development.
  • Knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum algorithms.
  • Previous work in a research and development setting.
