About the position

The Rad Onc Financial Liaison is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of billing charges within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This role involves providing billing and compliance support, analyzing patient accounts, and advocating for financial matters related to radiation services. The liaison acts as a bridge between providers, patients, and insurance carriers, ensuring financial clearance and reimbursement for services rendered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of all billing charges generated in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
• Provide billing and compliance support within the Division of Radiation Oncology and its patients.
• Perform complex clerical and administrative functions related to the collection of radiation patient accounts.
• Review and analyze radiation accounts, including professional and technical components.
• Conduct complex investigations, follow-ups, and problem-solving for claims and collection activities.
• Ensure financial clearance and reimbursement for services provided.
• Act as an advocate for financial matters related to the radiation process.
• Serve as a liaison for providers and patients with insurance carriers.

Requirements

• Associates Degree (Required)
• 5 years of experience in a related role, including billing or collections (Required)
• 3 years of experience in a customer financial service role (Preferred)
• 5 years of experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
