About the position

The Residential Associate position at Community Counseling Solutions involves providing services and supports for clients to help them develop appropriate skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning. This includes a variety of services such as mental health, rehabilitation, social, personal, medical, educational, financial management, legal, vocational, and recreational services. The role requires direct interaction with residents to promote recovery and improve their well-being. The position is based in Boardman, Oregon, and operates on a .9 FTE schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from Sunday to Tuesday, 6 PM to 6:30 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and reference the policies and procedures, mission, and values of CCS.
  • Demonstrate leadership and independent judgment skills.
  • Manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and protect client confidentiality.
  • Actively supervise and interact with clients both in the community and within the facility.
  • Orient, train, and supervise residents to perform safely and independently.
  • Provide services and support to clients according to their individual service plan.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and activities.
  • Administer prescribed medications following physician orders.
  • Assist clients with medical appointments and filling prescriptions.
  • Assist clients with food purchases, preparation, and clean up.
  • Provide direct skills training and coaching in various areas.
  • Report any suspected violations of client’s rights or abuse.
  • Transfer residents using proper techniques.
  • Participate in inventory and purchasing of client program supplies.
  • Effectively assess and manage crisis situations.
  • Document critical incidents and residents’ daily activities.
  • Perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal history background check.
  • Current driver's license and personal auto insurance.
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.
