About the position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies. This role requires advanced practitioner skills to manage complex patient care situations, including independent professional respiratory care, ventilator management, and clinical evaluation of care. The practitioner operates under limited supervision and collaborates with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations.
  • Perform independent, professional respiratory care and ventilator management.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and clinical evaluations of care.
  • Establish therapy and treatment objectives based on patient needs.
  • Review care based on the age and needs of the patient.

Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program.
  • Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington.
  • Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required.
  • Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire.
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
  • Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy and critical care.
