About the position

The Employee Health Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to Kaleida Health employees, volunteers, and medical staff partners, with a focus on occupational health. The role involves utilizing established protocols and current standards of care to address the diverse health care needs of the employee population, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care for Kaleida Health employees and other non-employee groups.
• Utilize established protocols and current standards of care in occupational health.
• Maintain confidential records of employee data and enforce regulatory agency requirements.
• Support the operations of the Kaleida Health Employee Health Department.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong interpersonal skills in nursing practice.

Requirements

• AAS - Associate of Applied Science in Nursing required.
• 5 years as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting required.
• 1 year experience in immunization administration, intradermal TB testing, phlebotomy, respirator fit testing preferred.
• 1 year experience as an Occupational/Employee Health Nurse preferred.
• Registered Nurse upon hire required.
• Microsoft Excel 2000 - Normal User and Microsoft Windows 7 assessments required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with gas masks and PAPR Hoods preferred.
