About the position

The position involves facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with healthcare teams and patients to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The role emphasizes promoting optimal health and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, and demonstrating accountability for relationship-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with healthcare teams and patients/families.
  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Advocate for and protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program.
  • One year of experience preferred, specifically in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State.
  • BLS certification credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
