About the position

The Sales Associate at United Pacific is responsible for assisting in the operation of the store in a safe, customer-focused, and profitable manner. This role involves various duties such as cash handling, cleaning and maintaining fixtures, and ensuring the security of inventory and currency to prevent theft and shrinkage. The position requires effective communication and the ability to work independently, as well as the capability to operate necessary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the store in a safe and customer-focused manner.
• Perform daily cash handling tasks.
• Clean and maintain lighting and fixtures.
• Ensure the security of all inventory and currency to avoid theft and inventory shrinkage.
• Learn to operate a cash register, computer console, and other related equipment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
• Ability to work alone in the store for extended periods of time.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Ability to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes of the workday.
• Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store and retrieve materials.
