About the position

This is a salaried position in City of Industry, CA that reports to the Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing. P&L ownership for the assigned Brands/Categories sold in Retail & Club channels. You will be assisting the Strategic Planning process & the development/execution of Growth Strategies & the Annual Marketing Plan for the assigned Brands/ Categories. Lead Quantitative & Qualitative Brand/Category performance analysis in support of the weekly & monthly Business review for the assigned Categories. Provide detailed analysis using business intelligence resource to provide insight into category performance, collaborate with sales team & finance to provide commentary on key drivers of performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build & execute pricing strategy for assigned Brands/Categories.
  • Support the development & execution of the Innovation Strategy for the assigned Categories.
  • Collaborate with & leverage the Market Intel team.
  • Lead Cross Functional Team Project (Insights, Finance Operations, Demand Planning, Sales, & Consumer Marketing) in support of Category objectives; lead cross functional team projects as assigned.
  • Provide inputs to S&OP relative to product & category trends, non-customer specific.
  • Develop & maintain Competitive Intelligence documents.
  • Manage the process of identifying industry & consumer trends; serve as the category liaison with the corporate consumer insights; manager proprietary research projects; mine & analyze secondary data to spot trends & insights in support of defined strategies & to uncover new opportunities.
  • Work closely with quality compliant team to understand drivers behind customer complaint trends & operational issues.
  • Seek opportunities for personal development & proactively identify ways to add value to Business Unit Teams.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar field preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in business management, marketing, supply chain, or analysis.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the food industry.
  • CPG/Food marketing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of interdepartmental functions & experience in interacting closely with the sales team as well as other teams cross functionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills & acute attention to detail.
  • Strong financial & quantitative analytical skills.
  • Strong PC capabilities with emphasis on Excel Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, & Word Software required.
  • Ability to participate in strategic & annual planning.
  • Strong communication skills including written & verbal presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal & written/verbal communication skills.
