About the position

The Salesperson at Don Mealey's Sport Auto Group is responsible for selling new and used vehicles while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining dealership standards. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their vehicle needs, providing product demonstrations, and managing the delivery process of vehicles. The salesperson is expected to follow up with customers post-delivery and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and used vehicles at the dealership.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and build good relationships with customers and employees.
  • Determine each customer's vehicle needs through effective questioning and listening.
  • Conduct complete feature and benefit presentations on all products in the vehicle line-up.
  • Provide demonstration rides for every customer.
  • Tour the service department with customers after test drives, explaining benefits.
  • Handle the entire delivery process of the vehicle, ensuring all necessary equipment is installed and safety checks are completed.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled prior to delivery.
  • Collect all necessary payments and ensure all documents are signed correctly before customer release.
  • Explain vehicle features, warranties, and maintenance schedules to customers during delivery.
  • Conduct follow-ups with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a prospect development system and contact potential customers within 24 hours of their showroom visit.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, features, and competitive models.
  • Set personal income goals and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Maintain QSI index at or above the regional average.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow the company's dress code and maintain a clean work area.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to retail auto sales.
  • Punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts and meetings.
  • Completion of annual HR training and any other required training.
  • Ability to pass product knowledge tests given by the general sales manager.
