About the position

As a Salesforce Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and delivering product value by managing and prioritizing the Salesforce product backlog. Your role will include being the critical link between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that solutions meet business objectives and customer needs. The product works closely with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, defines user stories, and facilitates agile delivery processes to enhance the Salesforce products success.

Responsibilities

  • Own, prioritize and maintain the product backlog in alignment with business goals.
  • Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements for development team.
  • Ensure backlog items are ready for sprint planning and execution.
  • Work closely with Salesforce administrators, developers, designers, and QA to ensure efficient and high-quality product delivery.
  • Actively participate and lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the development team regarding feature details and clarifications.
  • Make real-time decisions on trade-offs, priorities, and adjustments to meet sprint goals.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving product-related risks, dependencies, and impediments.
  • Maintain clear and effective documentation, including product requirements, roadmaps, and release notes.
  • Provide updates and insights on product progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a product owner, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and backlog management.
  • Proficiency in Product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including but not limited to automation (Flows), security (roles, profiles, sharing), and reporting (dashboards, reports).
  • Experience prioritizing work with multiple Salesforce Clouds, integrated third-party platforms, and multiple business units.
  • Understanding of Salesforce release cycles, platform limitations, and change management best practices.
