About the position

The SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM) System Engineer at ELEVI is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operation of the SCCM Global Enterprise Solution. This role involves managing Microsoft patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, and hardware/software inventory across multiple networks. The engineer will ensure the SCCM infrastructure functions properly, contribute to best practices, and assist with patch management cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of SCCM administration, maintenance, and operation of the SCCM Global Enterprise Solution.
  • Monitor SCCM infrastructure system health and manage boundaries and collections.
  • Make required configuration changes and investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure SCCM infrastructure functions properly with PKI-based authentication and corporate authorization services.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices for deploying enterprise desktop technologies.
  • Assist with the Enterprise Microsoft monthly patching ingest/test/deployment cycle.
  • Test and deploy hotfixes, patches, and new releases to the SCCM Infrastructure.
  • Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • IAT Level 2 certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
  • 3+ years direct experience in the implementation, administration, and configuration of SCCM in a global enterprise environment.
  • 5-10 years of computer/IT professional experience with Windows Server Administration (Win Server 2016, 2019, or 2022) or Windows SQL Server.
  • Extensive working knowledge of standard Windows client platform administration and configuration.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting Windows Desktop and Server OS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing a desktop OS image for large corporate environments.
  • Experience with desktop deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Windows registry and interaction of drivers within the OS.
  • Experience with unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.
