BAE Systems in Westminster, Colorado is looking to hire a Security Specialist to support the Program Security Consolidated Persec- ensuring the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable manuals as implemented and compliance is maintained. Support the SMS PERSEC team with clearance processing, SMS Visitor Control, and Special Programs across the growing sector. Responsibilities
- Acquires, reviews, and processes to completion- Initial Clearances, 5 year Clearance reinvestigations, reinstatements and clearance upgrades.
- Process SMS New Hire’s and Terminations- SIMS/DISS.
- Support and process PSQs, Foreign Travel and reporting as per Special Program Requirements.
- Maintain SMS SIMS and DISS.
- Maintain Persec Folders and SharePoint databases.
- Provide/maintain monthly and quarterly metrics.
- Maintain continuity plans relative to the PERSEC office.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
- Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Experience with PC and Microsoft Office Software, good writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience providing briefings or public speaking.
- Decision Making and reasoning skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, EQIP EAPP.
- Experience conducting or supporting background investigations for security clearance applicants.
- Interim Secret clearance, Secret clearance, or Top Secret clearance.
