About the position

The Lab Assistant position in the ECU Department of Chemistry involves supporting the teaching labs for Chem 1151 and Chem 1161. The role focuses on the preparation and maintenance of laboratory materials and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare materials for Chem 1151 and Chem 1161 teaching labs.
• Maintain and clean the teaching laboratories.
• Prepare reagents for laboratory use.

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed Chem 1151 and Chem 1161.
• Detail-oriented and responsible work ethic.
• Ability to follow safety rules and protocols.
• Ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Majors in Chemistry or Biochemistry are preferred.
