About the position

The Accounting Auditor position at Innova Solutions involves planning, coordinating, and documenting internal controls for the organization and its subsidiaries. The role requires performing audits, utilizing data analytics, and making recommendations for control enhancements. The auditor will communicate findings to management and assist in following up on previous audit recommendations, all while maintaining proficiency in current auditing standards and technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and create documentation of internal controls using flowcharts and narratives.
• Perform testing of established controls and utilize data analytics during audits.
• Make recommendations based on the review and testing of internal controls.
• Communicate adequacy of established controls and recommendations to management via reports, memos, and presentations.
• Assist in follow-up of the status of recommendations made in previous audit reports.
• Utilize audit and computer software to complete assignments.
• Maintain proficiency in current audit/investigative standards and procedures.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently and complete all engagements within the allotted time budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• More than three years of financial or integrated audit experience in a public accounting or corporate internal audit setting.
• Knowledge of auditing accounting systems, flowcharting, and statistical sampling techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's in Accounting or CPA or CIA certification preferred.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Power Bi or other analytics software preferred.
• Previous experience leading or performing financial and operational audits independently.
• Previous insurance or healthcare audit experience preferred.
