About the position

Mod Op is seeking a consultative, tech-savvy Sr. Director of B2B Marketing Strategy to lead enterprise-level B2B marketing engagements. As a senior individual contributor and strategic leader to our account teams, you’ll help clients solve complex marketing challenges and accelerate outcomes through full-funnel, cross-channel strategies grounded in data, audience insights, and emerging technology. This highly collaborative role is critical to our success, both in delivering measurable results for clients and shaping Mod Op’s strategic roadmap through the voice of our B2B portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a principal strategist on key B2B enterprise accounts, to direct client strategy with support and partnership of Mod Op cross-functional teams.
  • Translate client business goals into measurable marketing strategies that span demand generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with account, media, analytics, and creative teams to scope, pitch, and evolve strategies with strategic rationale and clear articulation of value.
  • Develop client roadmaps, business cases, and realization frameworks.
  • Uncover, shape, and drive progress when a clear path is not yet defined.
  • Consider, distill, and prescribe the best solution, vs. only responding with what a client may have directly asked for.
  • Provide a third-party perspective and healthy, consultative challenge to client strategies and results, to ensure alignment to client business goals.
  • Anticipate the client's needs and translate into what Mod Op can deliver.
  • Leverage your expertise in enterprise B2B marketing and business dynamics, including long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder decision-making, and account-based marketing.
  • Guide clients in applying audience-first personalization principles to customer engagement strategies.
  • Map the buyer journey to identify gaps, overlaps, or friction points.
  • Use first-party data and behavioral signals to refine targeting, prioritize outreach, and personalize messaging across channels to accounts/personas.
  • Emphasize solutions and ROI to drive long-term, trust-based loyalty.
  • Tell compelling stories and drive progress with clear vision.
  • Set the vision, strategy, and positioning that will permeate client leadership discussions and drive adoption of Mod Op’s recommendations.
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops and executive-level conversations with clarity and influence.
  • Display outstanding business acumen and effectively communicate complex subject matter to both marketing and non-marketing stakeholders.
  • Evaluate performance to optimize impact.
  • Analyze cross-channel marketing programs to provide recommendations that ultimately help clients improve outcomes.
  • Develop strategic insights with competitive research, benchmarking, and general analysis and audit techniques.
  • Document and share observations from prospects and clients to influence future solution development.
  • Create client-specific and use-case-specific stories.
  • Provide thought leadership through speaking engagements, webinars, conferences, blogs, articles, LinkedIn, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing strategy, consulting, and/or data-driven advertising, with a strong emphasis on B2B enterprise clients.
  • Proven track record translating complex challenges into marketing strategies that drive business impact and revenue growth through complex consideration cycles.
  • Ability to consult on marketing strategy, maturity, technology, customer journey, and multi-touch attribution.
  • Successful leadership of cross-channel strategy and client stakeholder collaboration.
  • A solid and demonstrable understanding of digital marketing, advertising, and the AdTech/MarTech space.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting to C-suite level and gaining buy-in.
