Senior Engineer, Software Developer

About the position

LPL Financial LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain data management systems according to best practices and architectural guidance. The role involves enhancing, maintaining, and supporting existing applications, leading and managing teams, and collaborating with developers and business partners. The candidate will participate in all phases of the software engineering life cycle (SDLC) and ensure that necessary platform technical documentation is maintained. The position allows for remote work from anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data management systems according to best practices and architectural guidance.
• Enhance, maintain, and support existing applications.
• Lead and manage teams, collaborating with developers and business partners.
• Plan, design, develop and implement solutions.
• Recommend new processes and document recurring processes to streamline software development.
• Participate in all phases of the software engineering life cycle (SDLC).
• Ensure necessary platform technical documentation is maintained.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and advanced debug support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (foreign education equivalent accepted) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Engineer, Software Developer (or related occupation) designing, developing and maintaining data management systems using MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (foreign education equivalent accepted) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Engineer, Software Developer (or related occupation).
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data management systems using Master Data Management (MOM) SaaS.
• Experience in designing and implementing MDM solutions to provide a single source of truth for various subject areas.
• Experience developing MDM functionality and MDM Tool - Cloud S&P Global (previously known as IHS Markit) and Informatica MDM SaaS.
• Experience designing test scenarios based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Experience coordinating with development teams to track the delivery of the module.
• Experience designing and implementing the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for Informatica MDM SaaS in Cloud S&P Global using Team Foundation Server (TFS), GIT, and GitHub.
• Experience configuring data model modules to analyze front end UI field length and conducting data profiling and data analysis.
