About the position

At Salesloft, our Senior Event Marketing Manager will be pivotal to our company's success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing North American Revenue Marketing team, responsible for the strategic planning, execution and outcomes of our most impactful events. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for leading event initiatives to drive pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Create a comprehensive event marketing strategy to deliver pipeline and revenue across tradeshows and hosted events, adapting strategy as business goals evolve.
  • Collaborate with revenue organization stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Office of Pipeline) on enablement, event recruitment and comprehensive follow-up processes, to deliver pipeline from event programs.
  • Partner with Revenue Marketing team members across Digital, Field and ABM on cross-channel strategies to effectively engage target accounts.
  • Measure and report on the pipeline impact and ROI of all event programs, making data-driven recommendations for future investment based on outcomes.
  • Drive the strategy and execution of our hosted customer roadshow series, Saleslove On Tour.
  • Oversee agenda design, content development, and speaker management to ensure engaging and highly-relevant sessions.
  • Manage onsite experiential design and AV production in partnership with 3rd party agency to deliver memorable attendee experiences.
  • Lead venue research and selection process, include site visits, site planning, and contracting.
  • Develop sponsorship strategies and manage sponsor relations and activities.
  • Implement promotional strategies across all marketing and sales channels, partnering with Digital, Comms, Brand, and Product Marketing on assets.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of tradeshow program, including researching new tradeshow opportunities based on business goals and securing internal buy-in.
  • Manage comprehensive planning, innovative booth design and branding, engaging speaking sessions, and impactful ancillary event activations.
  • Manage event staffing and enable staff on messaging and best practices.
  • Develop compelling promotional strategies, and manage all pre- and post-event follow-up activities to generate quality leads to drive pipeline.
  • Stay on top of industry best practices and technology to elevate our presence and differentiate us from competitors.
  • Lead the event design and execution of Revenue Club, an exclusive incentive trip for top performers from our go-to-market team.
  • Oversee the execution of our annual Revenue Kickoff (RKO) program, bringing together team members from Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience executing the strategy and design of events to drive pipeline generation.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with experience analyzing event performance and delivering relevant insights to senior leadership with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo).
  • Proficiency in event registration software (e.g. Swoogo, Splash).
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to manage complex contracting processes.
  • Strong experience managing large and complex budgets to ensure the most effective use of investment and resources, building business cases, and completing ROI analysis.
  • Experience with venue research, selection, and contracting for large programs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to get buy-in from leadership, Sales, and Customer Success on new initiatives and strategies.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality event experiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% during peak event seasons.
