About the position

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, Marketing on the FP&A team to support the Marketing organization. This high-impact individual contributor role will serve as a key bridge between Finance and Marketing leadership—enabling data-backed decision-making, optimizing spend and resourcing, and driving accountability around performance metrics. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to our Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing leadership team, playing a critical role in aligning financial decisions with our marketing strategy and long-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to the Marketing team, helping align budgets, resources, and investments with business goals.
  • Lead marketing-related planning processes, including annual budgeting, monthly re-forecasting, and spend tracking.
  • Monitor and analyze spend efficiency across channels and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and forecasts to evaluate campaign ROI, CAC, CLTV, CPL, and more.
  • Present actionable insights and performance summaries to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions with clear financial rationale.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Senior Leadership, Procurement, our Chief of Staff, Ops, Analytics, and Accounting teams to ensure financial accuracy and measurement consistency.
  • Build processes and frameworks that enhance marketing controllership, visibility, and operational agility.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), preferably with a focus on Marketing, Sales, or Revenue Operations.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of key marketing metrics (e.g., CAC, ROI, CPL, CLTV) and ability to contextualize them within the broader business.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, and other financial systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Vena).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SQL or data visualization tools (e.g. Lookr or Hex), marketing analytics platforms (e.g. Marketo Measure, GA4, Adobe Analytics), Salesforce, or financial planning tools (e.g. Vena).
  • Familiarity with digital campaign performance metrics and marketing attribution models.
  • Prior exposure to executive-level reporting and strategic finance partnership.
