This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for the designing, implementing, verifying, validating and commercializing of the Wireless WAN (or cellular) modem software as a product or component within a product. Work involves implementation of a multi-RAT (Radio Access Technology) cellular modem from industry specifications (most notably 3GPP with LTE and 5GNR) and efficient implementation of the shared resources of a multi-RAT modem. Closely collaborates with other functional groups including modem systems, modem hardware and modem firmware to develop a cost effective, high quality and high capability modem software package which meets industry leading quality metrics and customer requirements with high performance and acceptable cost. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

  • Design, implement, verify, validate, and commercialize Wireless WAN modem software.
  • Implement multi-RAT cellular modem based on industry specifications.
  • Collaborate with modem systems, hardware, and firmware teams.
  • Ensure high quality and performance of modem software.
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or Bachelor's Degree with five years of progressive experience.
  • Experience with multi-RAT cellular modem implementation.
  • Familiarity with industry specifications such as 3GPP, LTE, and 5GNR.
