About the position

The Senior Pricing Analyst at Benco Dental is responsible for managing pricing strategies, conducting profitability analysis, and performing quantitative research to enhance the company's profitability. This role involves analyzing key performance indicators and metrics to support pricing initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Employ a combination of technical skill, knowledge of research methodologies, and statistical analysis to increase company profitability
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams of sales, finance, and marketing associates to execute pricing strategies
• Provide data-driven analysis and financial modeling for pricing initiatives that include setting market prices and identifying areas for opportunity
• Develop tools in SQL/SSRS/Excel to help understand profitability trends, implement pricing improvements, and track financial impact
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis as it relates to pricing, profitability, and market trends
• Provide support to analyst role and team as needed
• Provide subject matter expertise to sales team on pricing strategies, and reinforce those strategies throughout the organization

Requirements

• BS/BA in a mathematical or research-related field such as statistics, social science, math, computer science, or operations research; will consider other fields with a quantitative emphasis
• 4-6 years of experience in a related field
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel; familiarity with other analytics tools (R, SPSS, SAS) preferred
• Thorough knowledge of pricing methods and contractual pricing
• Comfortable working with large amounts of data, detail-oriented, and possess excellent business acumen
• Expert at summarizing and presenting data, able to communicate findings to non-technical staff
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with an ability to work with cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with analytics tools such as R, SPSS, SAS
