Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team? Flex has already proven product-market fit with our core rent-payment product—but we’re just scratching the surface of what we can offer renters. You’ll help translate what we’ve learned so far into the next wave of consumer features that increase engagement, retention, and trust. Working closely with a cross-functional squad, you’ll scope, prioritize, and ship the highest-leverage improvements that renters (and the business) will feel immediately. This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. For candidates outside of the NY/NJ area, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt down opportunities with the biggest upside and craft the strategy to capture them.
  • Mobilize a cross-functional squad to turn ideas into outcomes renters can feel.
  • Own focused product areas and take responsibility for a specific set of consumer flows or features.
  • Dig into customer pain points, define clear problem statements, and maintain an actionable backlog.
  • Partner with Design, Data, and Engineering to turn research and analytics into experiments, MVPs, and scaled launches.
  • Instrument surfaces with the right metrics, monitor performance, and surface learnings in crisp written updates.
  • Run small, fast iterations—A/B tests, phased rollouts, or prototypes—to validate direction before doubling down.
  • Receive regular coaching from senior product leaders and share learnings with peers through retros and demos.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience with a track record of driving impact on your product(s).
  • Experience as owner of a rapidly growing consumer or B2B2C product.
  • Comfortable using tooling (Cursor, Vercel, etc.) to prototype concepts or test ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dig deep into data and think from first principles.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Eager to wear multiple hats as a leader and a 'doer' in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
