About the position

As a Product Manager, you will identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements. You will activate the connective tissue between U.S. Bank, customer experience, digital, technology, and business line strategy to identify and prioritize product/portfolio opportunities, and establish the product vision, charter and roadmap. You will define product outcomes and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to prioritize Features/Epics and break down work into actionable steps to facilitate product discovery, design, development and delivery. Additionally, you will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle and drive the product roadmap leveraging OKRs. You will create the product in conjunction with agile, experience design, technology and risk partners to achieve business and customer outcomes, while understanding and caring for the technical features, debt reduction and modernization of the technical product.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
  • Develop scope and define backlog items (features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
  • Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Perform product validation to identify and resolve any issues prior to being released into market.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model and communicating the product needs with business partners.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and features to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
  • Lead the scrum team.
  • Work closely with product management and senior management in order to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
  • Follow competitors and the industry.
  • Increase understanding of Agile practices, Lean Startup, new technologies opportunities and other new trends.

Requirements

  • Product management experience.
  • Proven experience in Scaled Agile Framework preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering.
  • Three or more years of experience with software as a service and mobile device management technologies.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
  • Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers.

  • Knowledge of payment services and point-of-sale software.
