About the position

As a Product Manager at U.S. Bank, you will identify, analyze and interpret business data using various techniques to meet business needs and requirements. You will activate the connective tissue between U.S. Bank, customer experience, digital, technology, and business line strategy to identify and prioritize product/portfolio opportunities, and establish the product vision, charter, and roadmap. Your role will involve defining product outcomes and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to prioritize Features/Epics and breaking down work into actionable steps to facilitate product discovery, design, development, and delivery. You will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle and drive the product roadmap leveraging OKRs, creating the product in conjunction with agile, experience design, technology, and risk partners to achieve business and customer outcomes. In the case of technical products, you will understand and care for the technical features, debt reduction, and modernization of the technical product with expertise in the technology required of the product.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so they are clearly understood by development teams.
  • Develop scope and define backlog items (features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
  • Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Perform product validation to identify and resolve any issues prior to being released into the market.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model and communicating product needs with business partners.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and features to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with product strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
  • Lead the scrum team.
  • Work closely with product management and senior management to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
  • Follow competitors and the industry.
  • Increase understanding of Agile practices, Lean Startup, new technologies opportunities, and other new trends.

Requirements

  • Product management experience.
  • Proven experience in Scaled Agile Framework preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering.
  • Three or more years of experience with software as a service and mobile device management technologies.
  • Creative thinker.

  • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
