About the position

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of our growth and retention platforms (website, member portal, and digital integrations). In this role, you will collaborate with a team of cross-functional partners, including product managers, engineering, UX/UI, marketing, and business stakeholders, to deliver technical solutions that enhance user experience, performance, and business outcomes. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement. This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule, working from our casual, pet-friendly office at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the digital product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including Engineering, Marketing, GMs, Operations, Sales and Customer Service, to ensure seamless integration and achievement of cross-functional goals to incrementally deliver pet parent and business value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and refine requirements for new features, enhancements, and technical improvements.
  • Translate business objectives into technical specifications and clear user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Leverage data insights, user feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prioritize bug fixes, compliance features, and new requests based on impact and business goals.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with business partners, engineering, design, and legal teams.
  • Write and refine epics and stories, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility and business impact.
  • Manage the backlog and sprint planning, prioritizing based on business impact, mandatory delivery dates, and customer impact.
  • Oversee release planning, execution, and validation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Lead weekly error triage sessions, tracking and reporting on bug trends and resolutions.
  • Partner with engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Act as the technical liaison between business and engineering, effectively translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in website architecture, security, performance, and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize website reliability, uptime, and load performance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution excellence.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to strengthen the product team.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing iteration.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of website initiatives.
  • Utilize analytics and user feedback to prioritize and refine products, enhancing user satisfaction and business performance.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to validate and test releases, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with Marketing for A/B testing and experimentation to optimize features and user flows.
  • Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to align website strategies with business goals.
  • Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and milestone reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless execution of website initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role with a focus on website/e-Commerce platforms with required recent experience at a Senior level.
  • Strong technical background with experience collaborating closely with web development, DevOps, and engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of delivering complex website projects.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, APIs, CMS platforms).
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools, and website performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and user experience enhancements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, SharePoint, or similar product management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear, transparent, and inclusive product development approaches that enhance team effectiveness.
  • Strategic decision-making skills with a focus on prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
  • Experience with e-commerce websites or customer-facing digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
