About the position

The Sr. Program Manager in the Amazon Global Tax Services department will lead process improvement initiatives, gather requirements, and manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. This role requires strong program management skills and familiarity with finance, particularly in tax and accounting, to facilitate discussions and manage changes during the implementation of new technology products.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role with project owners, project sponsors, and subject matter experts to align on project and workstream objectives
• Support processes to gather requirements from cross-functional teams, assess them for completeness, and consolidate them for technical teams, stakeholders, and sponsors
• Identify areas of risk to the project scope or development timelines, and escalate to program leadership in a timely manner
• Present and articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
• Dive deep where needed to resolve blocking issues during project execution, testing, launch and cutover

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
