About the position

Embark is looking for an enthusiastic full-stack engineer to help us build the next iteration of our admissions platform. For this role, we are seeking a senior engineer or architect who can act as both an individual contributor and as a mentor and manager to others. In this position you will work side by side with a small team of talented and motivated engineers. You'll be building features across our entire software stack, modeling and mining data, building performant APIs, leveraging emergent cloud technologies, and constructing sharp user interface components.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Foundational degree in STEM from a top university or strong work experience at a top company or relevant start-up experience.
• Exceptional programming skills and a love for building quality software.
• Passion for technology.
• Agile experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript.
• Experience with Node.js, Angular, MongoDB, Express, and Git.
• A never-ending desire to learn.
